AIJAC seeking a Media/Public Affairs Officer

The Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC), the Australian Jewish community’s premier independent public affairs organisation, is seeking a self-motivated individual with an interest in politics and journalism to work in our Sydney office.

This challenging position includes liaising with national media and politicians, involvement in AIJAC’s visitor programs to Australia and in the Rambam Israel Study Program, with some additional writing and research projects. Excellent communications skills are essential and a relevant tertiary degree is preferred.

Applicants will need an understanding of Australian politics, the Middle East and other public policy issues important to the Jewish community.

Salary: To be negotiated, commensurate with experience. Includes all Jewish holidays.
